New-France in the 18th Century
From the Grand Teton in Wyoming to the Fortress of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia to New Orleans in Louisiana to Detroit, St. Louis and Des Moines in between, New France has had a great impact on American history and culture. From our names for types of streets [avenues and boulevards] to the way we lay out our tracts of land [ribbon farms] New France lies all around us. Come dig below the surface as we discover vive la différence.
